Booking

How does booking work?
Pick your dates and bike on our website, pay securely online with iDEAL, credit card, Apple Pay, or Google Pay, and you'll receive an instant confirmation by email. Pick up at our shop in Zaandam (5 minutes from Koog aan de Zaan station) between 10:00 AM and 1:00 PM. All renters and riders must be at least 18 years old, and a refundable cash deposit of €100 per e-bike is required at pick-up (cash only). On your last rental day, return between 9:00 AM and 10:00 AM. Same-day return? Contact us before booking.
What's your cancellation policy?
You can cancel for free up to 24 hours before your pickup time and receive a full refund. If you cancel within 24 hours, 50% of the rental fee is refunded. No-show bookings are not refunded.
Can I book for a group?
Yes! For groups of 5 or more, please contact us via WhatsApp or email so we can ensure availability and discuss any group discounts. We're happy to accommodate families, friend groups, and small tours.

Pricing & deposits

How much is the security deposit?
A refundable cash security deposit of €100 per e-bike is required at pick-up. The deposit can only be paid in cash. We cannot hand over the e-bikes if the full deposit is not provided.

Pickup & location

What are the pick-up and return times?
Pick up your bike between 10:00 AM and 1:00 PM. On your last rental day, return it between 9:00 AM and 10:00 AM. Planning to return the same day you pick up? Contact us before booking — we'll confirm what times are possible.
How do I reach your shop?
We're located at Westzijde 273, 1506 GE Zaandam — a 5-minute walk from Koog aan de Zaan train station. From Amsterdam Central, take the Sprinter train towards Alkmaar or Uitgeest (15 minutes). Free street parking is available if you're coming by car (20 minutes from Amsterdam via the A8).

Practical info

What's included with my rental?
Every rental includes a high-quality lock, a helmet on request, route suggestions to the Zaanse Schans and beyond, and friendly support in English and Dutch. Optional accessories like a bike bag or extra helmet may be available — just ask when booking.
What if it rains?
Light rain is part of the Dutch cycling experience and most riders just continue. For heavy rain, you're welcome to start later — just message us via WhatsApp so we can coordinate. If you prefer to cancel instead, our normal cancellation policy applies.
Do you speak English?
Yes, our team speaks fluent English, Dutch, and a bit of German. We work daily with international visitors and love helping you discover Zaandam by bike. WhatsApp us anytime in any of these languages.

Safety & policies

Are helmets included?
Helmets are provided free of charge on request. While the Netherlands doesn't require cyclists to wear helmets and most locals don't, we strongly recommend them for visitors who aren't used to Dutch traffic. Just ask when picking up your bike.
What is the minimum age to rent or ride an e-bike?
Every renter and rider must be at least 18 years old. This requirement applies to everyone who will use an e-bike, not only to the person making the booking. A valid ID may be requested at pick-up.
What if the bike gets damaged or stolen?
Always use the included lock when you're not riding. In case of damage from normal use (flat tire, brake issues), contact us immediately and we'll help. For accidents or damage from misuse, repair costs may be deducted from your deposit. In case of theft, file a police report and contact us — we work with you on a fair resolution.
